California Dreaming...Does anyone really win sweepstakes?

Does anyone really win sweepstakes? Yes, they really do!

I am one of the lucky grand prize winners and here is how it all started for me.

Early one morning in 2006 as I was getting some new tires put on my car, I sat in the waiting room glancing through a magazine, when an article about a lady that had won a lot of sweepstakes caught my eye.  My first thought was, does anyone really win those things?

The article talked about a lady that called herself the "Contest Queen" that had won lots of great prizes like a shopping spree, a new automobile, and lots of great trips.  Sounded interesting, so I ordered a copy of her book and read it.

I was so inspired, that I decided to subscribe to a sweepstakes newsletter.

When my newsletter arrived I was amazed at all the wonderful prizes being given away.

I immediately set my goal to win a trip to California.  I have always wanted to go to California.

A caricature I drew.
I immediately started entering sweepstakes every week and it wasn't long before I was winning smaller prizes like gift cards, running shoes, t-shirts, etc.

I continued entering each week and finally, it happened!  Just two days before my birthday, on July 9th, 2009, a FedEx envelope arrived.  My entry had been chosen as a Grand Prize Winner!

It was the Smucker's Stars On Ice Sweepstakes and I could choose a trip to any city on the tour, and take up to five people with me.

I chose to go to Los Angeles.  Woo hoo!  California, here we come!

Smucker's put us up in the Roosevelt Hotel on Hollywood Blvd. My daughter and I have always been ice skating fans, and we were so excited to meet Olympic Gold Medalist Evan Lysacek.

At the Griffith Observatory with the famous Hollywood sign in the background.
We all loved California so much that we didn't want to leave.  In fact, we all decided we wanted to live there.

“Once you make a decision, the universe conspires to make it happen.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

In August 2012, my daughter actually realized that goal. You can read her story here.  California Move

It's always amazing to me, how one decision, one small action, leads to another, and another, and can eventually lead to huge change.

Back then I was new to the law of attraction and didn't really know how to vibrationally align with my goals.

It was three years from the time I set my goal to win a trip to California, until I won.  It only took me three months when I won the trip to Las Vegas.

There is a three step process for manifesting I've learned, and it is:
  • Intention (set the intention for what you want)
  • Attention (give the goal focused attention)
  • No tension (let it go, feel as good now as if you already had it, trust the Universe to bring it about)
I was really good at the first two steps, the third step,  "no tension" is where my manifestation got held up, but as you can see in my second win, I am learning.

Are you ready to manifest your goals? As your coach, I can assist and support you in setting your Intention, giving it Attention, then focusing on No tension, and finding ways to feel good now.

Have you ever used this process?  What did you manifest? Share your manifestation in the comments below.

Until next time,

Just How BIG is My But?

Umm, hopefully, not that big?

Yes, I know what you're thinking, how big are my buttocks, gluteus maximus, backside, or in other words, behind.

What I am actually asking is.

How big is my BUT? My mental BUT.

Whenever there is something we desire and we don't already have it, it usually means there is a big BUT involved and I don't mean the one you or I sit on.  I mean the mental BUTs. All the "reasons" we don't have it, or can't get it.

Usually it is very easy for me to see someone else's big BUTS because just like our physical butt is out of our view most of the time, unless there is a mirror around, so too, are our mental BUTs.

I recently heard myself saying "I would love to take a road trip to Texas BUT...".
  • I can't be away from my business that long
  • My car's transmission is acting up
  • I don't want to leave my house vacant
  • I don't have the money
Uh oh, in my mind those are some pretty big BUTs so it looks like I can't go to Texas.

As I began to really examine my BUTs, I realized BUT's can be "legitimate reasons" for our lack of whatever it is we desire.

I say legitimate reasons because what appears to be a legitimate reason, is really just a fact, and facts can change, and very often do once we align vibrationally with our desire.

BUTs can also be hidden fears and or negative beliefs. In my case, my fears of being away from my home or business too long. Fears and negative beliefs, also keep us out of vibrational alignment with our desires.

So I began to examine each BUT in detail and I realized when I have a big BUT standing in my way, the real reason I am not rocking down the highway, or have whatever else it is I desire, is because I have forgotten my power as the deliberate creator of my life, and have not vibrationally aligned with my desire.

Yes it's possible I could sell my business, get a friend to house sit, get my transmission fixed, or win the money.

BUT, all I really need to do is.

Remember my power as a deliberate creator.

Vibrationally align with my desire. How?
  • Know what I want and if I really want it.
  • Know why I want it.
  • Know how I want it to feel.

Once I "know" what I truly desire I can use various tools and processes to vibrationally align with the desired outcome, and leave all the hows, the facts, and the big BUTs, to the Universe and allow the Universe to deliver it.

Just subscribed to Texas Highways Magazine so I can start visualizing my trip.

If you would love some help getting your BUTs out of the way, that's what Law of Attraction transformational coaching is all about.

Signs, Signs, everywhere are signs.

I have a lot of people ask me why the 711?

I would have to say for me it all started on the day I was born, July 11th, 7-11.  Although, I never really thought about it as a child, and my parents didn't really go all out over birthdays, to me it was always my lucky day.

Believe it or not, my father never allowed us to use the word LUCK when I was a child.  He was a reformed gambling man and I suppose he didn't want any reminders. No cards, no dice, no luck.

It wasn't until about fifteen years ago, when I began my emotional healing journey, or as some would call it, my spiritual awakening, that I began to notice it and consider myself lucky.  Lucky in the sense that I am alive, and aware of life and truth.  Life and truth as I understand it, anyway. I feel very lucky and very blessed.

Whenever something is going on in my life that may make me start to doubt my choices, 711 will suddenly appear.  I may see it on a license plate, it could be my change at the checkout, the time on the clock, somewhere, somehow, it shows up.  So, I take it as a sign. My sign that all is well, I'm in the right place, at the right time and headed in the right direction.

A sign from the Universe, that everything I have done, everywhere I have been, it's all been the right thing for me, even though it may not have looked like it, or felt like it at the time.  Otherwise, I wouldn't be right here, right now, to see this lucky 711 show up.

Do you have a lucky number?

Does the Universe send you a sign?

Why not ask for one, and take notice when it shows up.

Until next time, Thanks for being here!

Love and Luck to you,

Blue Rocks, and the Scale of Justice...Say What?

Have you ever tried to deliberately conjure up something?

You know, "call up, or bring about by, or as if by, magic" according to the Webster Handy College Dictionary.

In Law of Attraction terms, we call that Deliberate Creation.

"Within 17 seconds of focusing on something, a matching vibration becomes activated...And if you manage to stay purely focused upon any thought for as little as 68 seconds, the vibration is powerful enough that its manifestation begins."

                                   Ask and It Is Given
                                   Esther and Jerry Hicks

Have you ever tried to deliberately create something? I'm not talking drama here, just physical objects.  I know this sounds kind of woowoo, and I am not into witchcraft or anything like that.  I am talking about the power we have to deliberately create our lives, and how we do that with the power of our pure, focused thought.

One day, I was talking with my cousin on the phone about how much fun it is to experiment with our power to deliberately create, and we decided to make a game of it and give each other an object to "conjure up".

We wanted it to be something a little out of the ordinary, something you may not see every day.  We thought about it for a few moments and she gave me a BLUE ROCK, and I gave her BALANCING SCALES.

My cousin immediately asks, "What are balancing scales?"  They're a pair of old fashioned scales, with a beam in the middle and two suspended plates. I call them the scales of justice because they are usually seen being held in one hand by Lady Justice.

In my explanation and description of what the scales were, I obviously gave them some pure focused thought because several hours later I saw my first set. My Sweetie and I were watching an episode of 'The Streets of San Francisco', (70's TV show), when all of a sudden I said, "BINGO!, there they are! Please pause the DVD while I get a pic of that."  Right there on the desk of Lt Mike Stone (Karl Malden), sat a pair of the scales.

Can you believe it? I asked, and I wasn't even trying to manifest them, I was just trying to explain to her what they were.

The next morning I am making myself some breakfast, pull a plate out of the cabinet to put it on, and as I'm eating my eggs I notice it.  The scales are depicted on my plate!  Holy cow! I never noticed that before.

Hey, what about my BLUE ROCK?

After giving her the description of the scales, we agreed to alert each other as soon as it appeared.

As I hung up the phone, I thought about my object.  A blue rock.  How in the world, am I going to see a blue rock?  (Oops, I forgot that we should always forget the how's, they slow down manifestation)  The only times I could ever remember seeing a blue rock, and I'm not sure you would call it a rock, was when I was getting some gravel for my fish aquarium at the age of 13.  I also briefly had a turquoise ring when I was about 8.

I must say I had my doubts but I was willing to give it a go, so I closed my eyes and focus my thought on imagining a blue rock for at least 17 seconds.

I thought about holding it in my hand.  How it would feel, how it would look, and then I imagined excitedly telling my cousin a blue rock had shown up!  I could really get into the excitement of that, so I did.  (Anytime we can feel the emotions of having whatever it is we desire to manifest, that is the real key to bringing it about.)

I must admit, I still had some doubts but every time I thought of the blue rock I immediately went to the excitement of telling her it showed up.

The next day at my shop, I was organizing some comic books, when a friend came in that deals in antiques.  He had just been to the post office and wanted to show me his latest acquisition. He held out his hand and there in his palm was a piece of blue jade, from Big Sur, California.

"It's a blue rock!"  I almost fell over. Even though I am aware of our power to create, it always amazes and delights me. I've been looking for a blue rock since yesterday, I told him. (I'm sure he thought I was nuts)  Can I take a photo? It appears a little more blue-green in the photo than it actually is.

Since I liked his piece of blue jade so much, he brought me one of my own.  So not only did I see a "blue rock", I have one on my shelf as a reminder that 68 seconds of pure focused thought, really does begin the physical manifestation.  I've also received a blue turquoise ring, and a bracelet, as gifts from two different people.

The point I am making here is that our thoughts are creating all the time.  Whether we create deliberately, or by default. Whether it is wanted, or not wanted.  I wanted to see the blue rock, I didn't care whether I saw the scales or not.  But, each one, I gave pure focused thought to, and they both came into my reality.

So what would you like to conjure up?

What would like to deliberately create?

Have you ever deliberately manifested something?  If so, comment below.

Love and luck,
