Be Open to Receive

Sometimes we can get so focused on how our money can come to us, that we shut ourselves off from receiving, and block the flow of our good.

We all have specific channels through which most of us receive our income. Such as our job, our business, parents, monthly retirement check, etc., that it's easy to see that, as our "source" of income. 

It can also be really easy to begin believing that our money is limited, especially if we are on a "fixed" income, salary, or allowance.
 

Since I own and operate my own business, I am no exception.  I can easily get caught up in seeing my income coming from my business, and even specific customers and clients.

The truth is, the Universe is the source of all my money, my income, and my good.

My business is only a channel, and just one of the many ways the Universe can deliver.

Universe is all knowing, all powerful, and everywhere present, and not limited in any way.

A few years ago, when I first began reading and studying "new thought", (Ernest Holmes, Catherine Ponder, etc.), before I learned about the Law of Attraction, I was living in an apartment, my sales were down, and I didn't have the money to pay my current month's rent. 

Deciding to apply what I was reading, I began affirming that the Universe is always supporting me.  That the Universe is the source of my money. That money can come to me from anywhere, at anytime, and that I am open to receive it. That my rent was paid.

I decided to go ahead and mail my rent check out, even though I didn't have one cent of it, trusting the Universe would supply the money.

After dropping my check in the outgoing mail slot, I opened my P.O. Box to find two totally unexpected checks that equaled the exact amount of the rent check I had just mailed.

Seems I had two insurance policies that had demutualized, and this was my share. I had no clue.  What I did know, right then and there, was that the Universe is my source.

Just a few weeks ago, I was talking with someone who was saying they really needed some cash desperately, but since they only got paid once a month, would not be receiving any money until the 1st.  

I reminded them, as gently as I could, that money can come to us anytime, anywhere, regardless of our salary.

That very day, they received an unexpected gift check of $150 in the mail.

The next time you are worried about where the money is coming from, remember that the Universe is our true source, the Universe surrounds us and supports us, and be open to receive.

I'll have $252.00, Please.

This week I thought I would share another one of my magical manifestations.

Early one Saturday morning years ago, I was counting up my bills for the week and found myself desperately needing $252. 

Now $252. is not a huge sum of money but it can sure feel like it when you need it and don't have it, and that was my situation.  I needed it.  

I had been reading and studying various books about prosperity principles written by Catherine Ponder, Ernest Holmes, and Joseph Murphy, to name a few.  I love all things metaphysical and what is referred to as "new thought" principles.  Most of these authors don't talk about the Law of Attraction, as such, but refer to source, God source, the Universe, and Infinite source.

But here I was, adding up my bills, and coming up short $252.00.

I don't know about you, but my first trained reaction is usually anxiety and worry when I don't have enough money to pay the bills and that morning was no exception.  

However, remembering what I was reading and learning, that we live in an abundant universe and that there is always an infinite supply of whatever we need or desire, I declared to the Universe, right then and there, that I believed in all possibilities.  That I believed the Universe could bring me $252. 

This made me feel much better so I decided to go out and get in a run before I showered and headed to work.

While out running, I happened to look down and noticed a bank envelope.  Without further thought, I picked it up, stuck it in my pocket, and kept on running.  

When I got back to my apartment and reached for my key, I felt the envelope.  I pulled it out, opened it up, and there was exactly $252.00 inside.

No name, no receipts, no number, just $252.00.

I was so excited.  I felt like the Universe had given me exact amount I had asked for.  I immediately went to write it down in my journal and as I did, I recalled the time I had been out running and found all the pennies.

I looked back through my journal to reread the entry and the hair stood up on the back of my neck.  I had found the pennies on the same exact day, one year before.  Wow, how's that for a magical manifestation?

I love it!
