I had never made any myself until something happened that proved to me that treasure maps or vision boards really work!
In 1997 when Princess Diana died my daughter who was about thirteen at the time starting saying she wanted to go to London for a visit. Every day she would say "I want to go to London", "Can we take a trip to London?". After a few weeks of hearing this I stopped and asked if she really truly wanted to go to London. Of course, she said yes. So I told her if that's what she really wanted I would start putting $10 a week, (all I could afford), into what we called our "London Fund".
In the meantime my daughter bought this poster which she put up on the wall beside her bed.
Neither of us knew anything about vision boards or treasure maps, she just wanted a poster of London to look at every day because she desired to go there.
About nine years later during her senior year of college, my daughter was offered a chance to study abroad for a few weeks in London. Although we had planned to take our London trip together, I didn't want her to miss the opportunity so she finally made it to London. She loved it!
A few weeks later after returning home, she got her pictures developed and without her even realizing it, one of her photos was the exact same photo as the poster hanging on her wall!
I would say this is a good argument for vision boards.
How does it get even better than this?
