When we know what we want, and we set an intention for it, it can be really easy to think we know exactly how it is going to happen, or should happen.
Sometimes, the Universe (Law of Attraction) has a better way.
This past week I have had a couple reminders that once we have set our intention for something, we just have to let go and let the Universe deliver.
The first thing...
As I've mentioned before, I own and operate a retail shop. A convention was coming to town and I really wanted to be represented there, but didn't want to "work it". In other words, I didn't want to get a booth, haul loads of merchandise in and set up, hire someone to run my retail shop, etc. I like it to be easy.
A week or two before the convention I had someone offer to promote my shop at their booth by passing out fliers.
I loved the idea and that sounded easy. So I headed to the local print/copy shop and had several hundred fliers printed and ready to go.
The day before the convention, the fellow called, said he would stop by on his way and pick them up. He never showed. I was a little disappointed but decided to just let it go. After all, my ideal customers find out about my shop, easily, and show up from all around the world to buy from me.
A few days later, I returned to the print/copy shop to copy some papers and when I went to check out, there on the counter was my flier! The print shop had decided they wanted to promote me and had been passing out my fliers.
Wow, that really made my day.
The second thing...
A few days before the convention, someone called from another state and said they had a booth at the convention and would love to do an interview with me to promote the convention and a benefit they were doing, and to promote my shop.
They said the interview would be posted on all their social media sites including the conventions, and the benefit's, which meant several thousand followers. That also sounded easy, and I agreed.
Even though we did the interview, they had technical problems and the interview was never used or posted. I decided to not worry about it and let it go.
But, the day before the convention, the local television station showed up out of the blue and asked to do an interview. That interview was on the news at least twice, and seen by far more people.
I love that! Thank you Universe.
All we have to know is what we want, in other words, our end result. Then assume the feeling of our wish fulfilled, and let the Universe decide how to deliver.
