Increase Your Luck by Taking Action

As a Law of Attraction student and coach, I always recommend getting vibrationally lined up with your desire first.

This can be done by getting clear about what you want, imagining and scripting your desire. Speaking, writing, or hearing, your affirmations, acting "as if", and most importantly, feeling the way you want to feel, or expect to feel when you have your desire, right now.

However, after getting into vibrational alignment, if you really want to increase your luck, start taking action.

I can visualize all day long about being a great drummer, but at some point I have to pick up the sticks and start playing.

I can script about how awesome sales and profits were last month at my retail shop, but I have to show up, be open for business, and buy and sell the goods. (Or at the very least arrange for someone to do it.)

Getting into vibrational alignment first, can make taking action much easier. One of the outcomes of vibrational alignment is feeling inspired, or suddenly knowing what action to take.

Taking action, even inspired action, is not always easy.  It can bring up all of our fears and self doubts, but take action anyway.

When I felt inspired to write, it was scary. I had never written anything for anyone else to read, ever, but I had to pick up the pen, and start writing, and move through the self doubt.

When I needed a ride and an Angel showed up to give me one, it was a miraculous manifestation, but I wasn't just sitting in my home imagining myself riding to my shop, I was on the street walking in that direction, and asking for one. I was taking action.

When I decided I wanted to take some trips, I felt inspired, and started entering sweepstakesPeople say I'm just lucky, but what I really did was align with my desire, and take action.

When we start taking action, it shows we are committed, it says to the Universe  that we are open and ready for our desire to show up.

Knowing what you want and getting into alignment with it is the first step, but if you really want to increase your luck, start taking action.

Until next time, here's to your Lucky Life!

Increase Your Luck with Five Easy Tools for Manifesting

Want to increase your luck? Your money? Eliminate debt? Improve your health? Manifest a new relationship? New job?

Here's my five favorite EASY tools for manifesting.

First things first, you must know what you want, and how you want to feel, or how you expect to feel when you have it.

#1 - Imagining or Visualization

This is my all time favorite manifesting tool.  I believe as Neville says "Imagination creates Reality".

It's easy, takes just a few minutes, can be done almost anywhere, (not while driving, of course), and  it works.

Simply relax, close your eyes, and imagine a scene that would take place if you had whatever it is you desire. The end result.

This can be as simple as hearing someone congratulate you, clinking your champagne glass in a toast, declaring "Isn't it wonderful?!", etc. and ties in with tool number 2.

#2 -Assume the Feeling

How would you feel if your wish came true?  Assume that feeling now.  Feeling is the key.

An easy way to do this, is to recall a time when you felt that way before. Doesn't matter if it is totally unrelated.

As you do your imagining or visualizing, (tool #1), recall those feelings. Feeling the way you want to feel attracts to you more experiences to feel that same feeling.

When you assume the feeling of your heart's desire, you also act, and react differently.  You make different choices, notice different opportunities. You are emitting a different vibration.

#3 - Scripting

Write it down as if it has already happened.

Write out what it is you want to happen, how you want it to look, and especially how you want to feel, as if it has already happened.

It can be long, and full of details, or it can be short and straight to the end result.

I have had great results with both.  The important thing is to get into the feeling of the end result.  This has happened, (and I am so relieved) I have this, (and I am so thankful), I am this,(and I feel so confidant and happy), and that really gets you into the feeling.  I'll say it again, feeling is the key.

#4 - Affirm it.

If you have imagined it, assumed the feeling, scripted it, then affirm it.

The thoughts we think and the words we speak are powerful vibrations so why not choose to think and speak only about what it is you want to attract.

Always say your affirmations in the present tense.  Such as I am, or I have.

One of my all time favorite affirmations is "Isn't it wonderful?!" As soon as I say it, I feel good.  I imagine all sorts of amazing, wonderful things have already happened, and it makes me feel good, and that's the point.

You can do them anytime, anywhere, even while driving.  You can even record them and listen to them while you sleep.

#5 - Give Thanks!

If you have received whatever it is you're desiring, you'd be feeling thankful and giving thanks

This can be done during your visualizations, or imaginings.  Hearing yourself saying, "Thank you, thank you, thank you!".

You can use it in scripting, "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" or "I am so thankful, I feel so thankful!"

When you are doing your affirmations, just say, "Thank you, thank you, thank you!"

It really is that easy.

Until next time,

Increase Your Luck - Hear what you want to hear.

I talk a lot about imagining and visualizing as ways to manifest your desire, but last night I had a reminder that hearing your desire can also bring it into reality.

You may be aware that I love going to concerts, and I particularly enjoy having great seats.  The closer to the stage the better.  Front and center.

A few months ago I heard that John Prine and Leo Kottke were coming to town and my Sweetie and I thought that would be fun to attend. I kept checking for tickets and nothing really ever came up that looked good, mostly the side sections or balcony tickets.

I didn't give it much thought and I never really took the time to do any visualizing or scripting about it.  I just kept thinking I would get some tickets.

The day before the show, there didn't appear to be any really good seats available so we sort of decided we may just skip this one until the morning of the show, when a friend of Sweetie's sent him a John Prine CD and he called me up and said we really should go.

So, I get online and looked for tickets.  Not surprisingly, the balcony was the 'best available".  I called the box office and was told if there were any tickets left I could buy them before the show.

Right then, I decided what I wanted was to get some really good seats. I took just a moment to imagine I heard my Sweetie say, "These are awesome seats!" and that felt good.

When I got to the theater, there was a line waiting to buy tickets. When I asked what was available center stage, on the floor, I was told "nothing, the only tickets available on the floor are on the side sections in the rear, or balcony seats".

I said I would buy the two on the floor, and I could hear Sweetie complaining the view would be terrible, but I tuned that out and heard him say in my imagination, "These are awesome seats!".

After buying the tickets we decided to go out for a quick bite and as we were waiting on our food, Sweetie pulled up the seating chart on his phone and informed me these were terrible seats.  I didn't let that upset me one iota.

Once again, I just turned within and pretended he just said, "These are awesome seats!".  That felt good.

We got to the theater just before the show was to start and since they had already turned down the lights we handed the usher our tickets and he guided us to our seats.

Imagine my surprise and delight when we were ushered right down front to the 7th row, center stage, on the floor.  As soon as we sat down, Sweetie turned to me and whispered, "These are awesome seats!", and indeed they were.

Know what you want, and hear what you want to hear, no matter what it is you want to manifest.

How about:
  • I love your new car!
  • Girlfriend, you look like you have lost some weight!
  • Congratulations on your new job!
  • I now pronounce you man and wife!
  • Here's the keys to your new home!
  • You're in perfect health!
  • Congratulations, you're the winner!
Whatever you desire, increase your luck in deliberately manifesting it by hearing what you would hear, and feeling how good that would feel, as if it were already yours.

Until next time, here's to your lucky life!

Increase Your Luck - Practice the Feeling Now

We have all said it, or heard someone say it, myself included, "When I get _____, or when _____ happens, then I will be _____".

One of the most important ways to "increase your luck" in manifesting your heart's desire is to practice the feeling now.

Once you have decided what it is you desire, whether it is to make more money, move into your dream home, lose weight, have a wonderful relationship, be a successful business owner, etc., your next step is to determine how you would feel if you had already achieved your desire.

The feeling is usually what we desire the most.  Would you feel prosperous, rich, sexy, confidant, supported, loved?  You decide.

Then practice the feelingBegin feeling that way now. Neville calls it "assuming the feeling of the wish fulfilled", and Rev. Ike says, "Get full of the feeling".

One way I practice it is to first recall a time when I have felt the feeling before, and how that feels in my body.  Then I imagine that I am feeling that way now, that what I want has happened. I act as if it has already happened and I practice feeling that way.  So, each time I think of it, I consciously stop and take a second to practice the feeling.

The more I do this, the more natural the feeling becomes.

Plus, we know that because of the Law of Attraction, whatever we are feeling in this moment is creating and attracting more experiences to feel exactly the way we are feeling right now.

Recently, I had a couple of goals I had been imagining/visualizing, and practicing what I thought it would feel like if it had already happened.

Each day, I imagined feeling the relief, excitement, and the confidence I thought I would feel when I achieved my goals.  Each time I thought of my goals throughout the day, I would practice the feelings.

A few weeks later when I realized I had achieved those goals I was actually a little disappointed that I wasn't more excited and more relieved.

In fact, I didn't feel any different. I felt the same feelings of relief, excitement, and confidence that I had been practicing.

Then suddenly I had a realization that excited me even more.

I realized, I had been practicing the feelings of the wish fulfilled so often during the day, that it had become totally natural.

I was already being what I wanted to be. I was naturally sending out the vibrations of relief, excitement, and confidence, so when it happened it didn't feel any different.

Until next time, if you truly want to increase your luck, practice feeling the way you want to feel, right now.

Here's to your Lucky Life,
Lucky Lady Kathleen

Increase Your Luck with Your Imagination.

"There is only one substance.  This substance is consciousness.  It is your imagination which forms this substance into concepts, which concepts are then manifested as conditions, circumstances, and physical objects.  Thus imagination made your world."

Neville Goddard

Visualizing, or imagining, as Neville calls it, has to be one of my absolute favorite manifesting tools.

Everything ever invented or created, started as an image in someone's mind.

If you are really serious about increasing your luck and manifesting your desires, visualizing, or imagining, is the secret.

It's easy, can pretty much be done anywhere, anytime, and doesn't really require a lot of time.  68 seconds of purely focused thought is powerful enough to begin manifesting whatever you are imagining.

I've deliberately used visualization to manifest things like blue rocks and Mad magazines, and I've used it to manifest being "paid up in full".

Quite a few years ago, due to a series of what some would call "bad" luck, I found myself over $4400. behind in rent payments.  No matter what action I took to get paid up to date, from scrimping and saving, to finding ways to make extra money, nothing helped.  I was suddenly reminded that our "thoughts become things" as Mike Dooley says, and I decided to use my imagination to visualize being paid up in full.

Every evening when I got home, I would lay down on my sofa, close my eyes, and imagine telling my Sweetie, "all of my rent is now paid up in full!".  I would feel the relief, excitement, and satisfaction of knowing it was true, and I would imagine his excitement and congratulations.

I never gave any thought to how this would happen, I went straight to the end result, to the feeling of the wish fulfilled.

I did this for about 7 or 8 minutes every evening.  If during the day the thought of being past due came to my mind, I immediately switched my thoughts to the congratulations from Sweetie and went on about my day.

Suddenly, one month later, a man walks up to me, and introduces himself as my new landlord, hands me a paper and tells me that starting the next month, this is where to send my rent.

The previous landlord had lost track of all the records, and in that moment, all of my past due rent was wiped off the slate and I was PAID UP IN FULL, and I have been ever since.

What a relief!  It felt even better than I had imagined it, and it happened in a way I would never have imagined.

It didn't take any force, struggle, or effort. Just the deliberate use of our great power to create with our imagination.

The truth is, we are using our imagining powers all the time. So why not deliberately use your imagining power to manifest what you desire and increase your luck.

Until next time,

Love and Luck to you.

Increase Your Luck by Letting Go

As deliberate creators we know how powerful it is to get really clear on what it is we desire.

Whether its a new job, more cash, having the bills paid in full, a loving relationship, more appreciation and support, a new home, better body, weight loss, no matter what it is, getting clear on what you want is an important step.  Knowing exactly how you desire it to look and feel.

You can also set your intention for that very experience and start imagining and visualizing your desired results.  The congratulations, the pat on the back, the handshakes, going to sleep in your new home, holding hands with your lover, stepping on the scales and seeing the number that feels good.

By all means practice feeling the relief, excitement, love, prosperity, confidence, or however you believe having your desire will make you feel.  Feel it real.

Keep taking inspired action, doing what feels good to do now, even if it seems totally unrelated to your desired outcome.

Then, LET GO.  Totally let go of the outcome, the way you think it should look.

LET GO of how you think it should manifest or show up.

LET GO of the WHO, WHAT, WHERE, WHEN, and the HOW.

Sometimes we can get so attached to the outcome, the way we want or need it to be, that we block the Universe from delivering it.

LET GO of striving, pushing, pulling, and trying to arrange it yourself. That is not your job.

LET GO of taking stock, keeping score, checking your progress, and watching the pot to see if it's boiling yet.

The Universe may have a totally amazing, miraculous, "lucky" experience lined up for you. Don't get caught being too attached to your way, and too busy trying to make it happen yourself.

LET GO and enjoy the now. Stay in the moment feeling as good as possible now. Enjoy the ride! Enjoy each day!

Until next time.  Increase your luck by LETTING GO.
Love and Luck,
Lucky Lady

At Last

Since last week's post was about beating the drum of my ideal concert experience, I thought I would share one of my earliest ones, which is also my very first experience in deliberately using visualization.

It made a believer out of me.

I have loved the old Etta James song, “At Last” from the first moment I heard it.

During the deepest, darkest, period of my life, I heard Bobby Caldwell’s version, from his album “Soul Survivor”, for the first time, and it brought tears to my eyes. Okay, I’ll admit, I cried like a baby.  I listened to it over and over and I felt as though it warmed my soul.

A few months later, I was feeling very low. My daughter and I were homeless, my business’ store front had been crashed in by a drunk driver, and sales had plummeted.  Truth is I was very depressed.

My mother suggested I do something to lift my spirits.  Why not go see this Bobby Caldwell guy in concert? So I looked him up and found out he was doing a show in a city about 275 miles away.  Mom agreed to take care of my daughter and my shop, and I drove the five hours to the show.

Bobby Caldwell had his eighteen piece big band with him and it was a great concert.  It definitely lifted my spirits and I even stuck around after the show, talking to a couple of the band members, got my CD’s autographed by Mr. Caldwell and even had a picture taken with him. But he never sang “At Last”.

When I got home and had my film developed, the photo turned out really well, so I mailed it to Mr. Caldwell in California and asked him to sign it for me.

A few life changing months went by, and in my quest to "change my thoughts and change my life" I read a book by Shakti Gawain called “Creative Visualization”.

I hadn’t tried it yet, just read it.

A few weeks later while visiting my brother in Chicago, an ad for a Bobby Caldwell concert taking place in two weeks, caught my eye. I informed my brother that I would be back in two weeks if I could get a ticket to the show.

When I returned home, I noticed the Creative Visualization book sitting beside my bed, and decided to give it try.

Every night for the next two weeks, I went to sleep visualizing being at the Bobby Caldwell concert, hearing him sing “At Last”, and how that would make me feel.

I would play the CD and feel the feeling as if it were happening right then.

I called and bought my ticket.  Since I only needed one, I got a great seat on the 11th row.

When the time came, my daughter and I made the 500 mile (each way) trip to Chicago.

I was so excited.  I just knew he was going to sing my song.  I could feel it. After all, I had been feeling it and seeing it, every night for the past two weeks.

I found my way to the University campus (no GPS just an old fashioned map), where the concert was being held and went in and took my seat.

As I sat there waiting for the show, the lady beside me said, “Honey, I think the guy at the organ is trying to get your attention”.  I looked up and sure enough it looked like he was waving at me, so I waved back. I remembered talking to him after the show in Cleveland.

During intermission the keyboard guy came out to talk to me.  He said, “I don’t remember your name, or where it we met, but I remember you.  Would you like to come backstage and say hi to Bobby after the show?”  Well of course I would!

The concert was fantastic.  Even better than the first one, but he didn’t sing “At Last”.  As the show ended, I refused to believe that all my visualizing hadn’t worked.  It was such a great concert I couldn’t be disappointed.  Instead, I told myself that maybe this visualization stuff just took a bit longer than two weeks, and perhaps I would get to go to another concert and he would sing it then.

The keyboard guy came out and escorted me backstage to Mr. Caldwell’s dressing room. There were a lot of people in there so we just waited around until they all cleared out and Mr. Caldwell came over.

We started chatting and he signed my newest CD’s and commented that I looked familiar.  I mentioned I had seen the show in Cleveland and I had sent him my photo from that show and he had signed it for me. He asked if I had driven all the way from Cleveland to Chicago for this show.  I said, “No, I drove five hundred miles from WV, to see this show!” He then asked if I had enjoyed it.  “I loved it, I replied, but I was so hoping you would sing, “At Last”.”

He took me by the hand, and began singing “At Last”, right there, in the dressing room. It was not the way I had pictured it, and of course he didn’t sing the whole song, and there was no big band, but it was better than anything I had visualized.

I drove all five hundred miles home, on cloud nine.

At last.

Have you ever deliberately use visualization?

Did it work?  I'd love to hear all about it.  I love fun manifesting stories.

Love and luck,
Lucky Lady

Persistence or Resistance?

I've said many times over the years, that a lot of my success as a retailer for the past 35 years, is not due to any great business education, nor is it due to any financial backing, but was in fact, due to my persistence, my unwillingness to give up, to continue moving forward toward my goal no matter what was happening.

Back then, I had no clue that our thoughts create our reality or that there was such a thing as the Law of Attraction.  I just kept taking action, and moving forward each day, being persistent.  In fact, I would sometimes say that I was "too stubborn to quit".

Truth is, I have been quite proud of my persistence over the years.

When faced with a big challenge recently in my business, ( I am not going to tell the details, as I do not want to create more of that!), I was persistent.

Each day, when faced with the challenge of the situation, I persisted in using the processes that I use in coaching. I walked my talk.

I visualized the end result that I wanted.  I scripted it as if it had happened the way I wanted it to. I found the better feeling thought.  I felt it real.  I played the "wouldn't it be nice if..." game.  I called on the angels.  I appreciated the good.

Each of these brought me some relief and assisted me in feeling better in the moment but on the 11th day of this challenge, the situation appeared to be unchanged.

As I paused to reflect on the past couple of weeks and the fact that nothing had changed, I suddenly had a huge "aha" moment.

Yes, I was being persistent. I was walking my talk. I was continuing to move forward toward my goal. I was taking action every day. But I was really in resistance. I was in resistance to the situation.

Carl Jung said, "Whatever you resist, persists."

I was doing all of the processes, not just to feel good, but to change the situation.  I was being persistent but underneath all of that persistence was resistance. I was resisting.

The moment I realized my resistance, I felt myself instantly let go of it. Relief was instantaneous. I could feel the shift in my body and in my energy. I started laughing and suddenly felt inspired to just do something for the sheer fun of it as I finished getting dressed.  I put on my favorite Christmas music and hummed along. Christmas music always makes me smile.

In less than an hour, the challenge I had been resisting was 90% resolved without my doing anything else.

I felt wonderful all day. I was in allowance, I was in the flow. I had my most profitable week in months.  When I arrived home at the end of the day, a huge mound of tree limbs I had been wanting the city to haul away for over two months, was mysteriously gone.

So, the next time I find myself being persistent, I am going to stop and ask myself, am I persisting or resisting?

Love and Luck,
Lucky Lady

Well Imagine That!

You may have heard the statement by now that we each create our own reality, or maybe, we create our own luck. That our power is within us.

Is this true?  I believe so.

If it is so, how do we create our own reality? How do we create our own luck? Just what is this power within us and how can we use it?

"I say imagination creates reality, and if this premise is true then imagination fulfills itself in what your life becomes."
Neville Goddard

I believe that Neville is right. I believe that our imagination is our power.  It is our imagination that creates our reality.

Think about it, pretty much everything surrounding us from our homes to our cars, were first imagined by someone. Someone imagined the clothes you are wearing and the car you are driving. Someone imagined going to the moon.

We imagine things into reality.

That is our power.  That is how we create our own reality.  We imagine things, and experiences, into our reality.

“If you can imagine it, you can achieve it; if you can dream it, you can become it.”
William Arthur Ward

Is there something you want? Imagine you have it.

Is there something you want to be or do?  Imagine you are it.

Remember my blue rock story? I deliberately imagined it.

I believe that's why the process of visualizing works so well. Even if you do not get a mental picture when imagining, you activate a feeling. Say for example, if you imagined your boss firing you, whether you have a mental image or not, you get a feeling.  If you imagine your boss congratulating you, giving you a promotion and a raise, you get a feeling.

That's why scripting also works so well. We are imagining it and writing it out, or speaking it out, as if it already happened, and this activates a feeling.
That feeling is a vibration that attracts more experiences with that same feeling.

So our power to create truly does lie within us.  Our power is our ability to use our imagination, to direct our imagination, to focus our imagination on whatever it is we want to be, do, or have.

The good news is it doesn't take very long.  Just 68 seconds of imagining or visualizing, scripting, acting as if, giving thanks and appreciation, etc., is all it takes to get your manifestation in motion.

Whatever we are imagining, is what we are creating in our reality.

So what are you imagining? The worst case scenario, or your dream come true?
It's all up to you.

Love and Luck,
Lucky Lady
