Beating the Drum

If you've read my blog for very long, by now you surely realize I love going to concerts. Yes!  I love it!

Earlier this week I had a really fun time attending a Seun Kuti and Egypt 80 concert. Seun Kuti is the son of legendary Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti, and Egypt 80 is Fela Kuti's former band.

It was definitely one of my ideal concert experiences and made me realize I am getting really practiced at beating the drum of my "ideal concert experience".

I arrived at the venue about ten minutes before showtime, found free parking within the block, picked up my front row center tickets, which cost me only $25, (the only thing better than $25 front row center seats is free, front row center seats), and still had a few minutes to spare before the show started.

So my Sweetie and I stroll up to the merchandise table and as we are looking at the LPs, the man behind the table offers to take us backstage to meet Seun Kuti, and get an autograph after the show.

So we enjoyed a fabulous, very high energy concert, then we were escorted backstage to meet them. How does it get better than that? I loved the fact we didn't have to ask.
Seun Kuti and Lucky Lady
People tell me I'm just lucky.

While I admit that I do feel lucky, it's really that I have practiced beating the drum of my ideal concert experience.  I set my intentions to have a great time, enjoy a wonderful concert, get to meet the performers, get autographs, take home a special souvenir like a setlist, guitar pick or drumstick, and for it all to be easy and fun.
My autographed concert poster.
As Abraham says, I beat the drum!  I talk about it to my friends, I blog about it, I keep a scrapbook of all my tickets, photos, and souvenirs.

The truth is we are always beating the drum of something, wanted or not wanted, so why not make sure it is something you want to manifest.

Love and Luck,
Lucky Lady
